The 2211 release of the SAP Data Warehouse Cloud, SAP BW bridge has been shipped with SAP BTP ABAP Environment as well as Data Warehouse Cloud 2023.03.
The new release contains the following main features:
- Display of TRFN routines in productive environment
- Enable ProcessVariant ADSOOLR("Delete Overlapping Requests from DataStore Object (advanced)" in the BW bridge
- Import wizard – semantic information reuse of bridge models
- Query expert: single query import
Display of TRFN routines in productive environment
With SAP BW bridge 2211, you can now easily display routines used in transformations in the BW Modeling Tools also in a productive tenant.
In the past, only the Edit button was available which couldn't be used in a productive tenant as the system is not changeable. In productive tenants, we now show a Display button.
Enable ProcessVariant ADSOOLR
You can now use the well-known process variant ADSOOLR to delete overlapping requests in SAP BW Bridge – just like in SAP BW or SAP BW/4HANA. This brings an important feature into the public cloud and simplifies the migration of existing scenarios from on-premise to SAP BW bridge.
You can use this process variant to automatically remove overlapping requests from a DataStore object. If the default system behavior does not fulfill your requirements, you can also implement the BAdI RSDSO_PC_ADSOOLR (Enhancement Spot RSDSO_PC) to determine the requests to be deleted.
Import wizard – semantic information reuse of bridge models
With SAP Data Warehouse Cloud 2023.03, you can now easily import data models from SAP BW bridge. This reduces modeling efforts when working with objects imported from SAP BW bridge and empowers users in SAP Data Warehouse Cloud to reuse existing semantics.
Instead of importing remote tables for CompositeProviders or DataStore objects and their InfoObjects one by one, you can now choose the Create Entity option to select a CompositeProvider or a DataStore object. The system then collects all dependent InfoObjects automatically and shows a list of all artefacts which will be created and deployed in Data Builder and Business Builder during import.
Query expert: single query import
With SAP Data Warehouse Cloud 2023.03, you can now easily import single BW queries SAP BW bridge after having them converted from SAP BW 7.30 or higher via Shell or Remote Conversion.
