Meet Paul in November
I asked Paul about his sessions and he answered them below:
1. Tell me about your session(s)
I'm doing a session with Jelena Perfiljeva titled "The SAP Skillpocalypse: How To Not Become Extinct". Techies who work with SAP often find themselves in roles of maintenance or care and feeding of older systems, and with that comes skills atrophy. Other times it can be daunting to cast your eyes over the landscape of new things emerging and wonder how in the world you can stay relevant. WE'VE GOT IDEAS!
We're also doing a session "Swipe Right on Deeper Partner Capabilities". We've both worked for partners of various sizes and shapes, as well as for places that use partners. How can customers and partners develop deeper relationships? Can they? WE'VE GOT IDEAS! (But also this is a roundtable, so bring your own.)
2. Why attend your session(s)
I have lived through the things I'm talking about. I have scars, and can help others not get scarred. 🙂
3. What are you looking forward to?
A chance to meet new people and expand my mind. I used to think the best way I could be a useful nerd was to put my head down and CODE CODE CODE. Now I think the best way is to seek out other nerds, so I can sit at their feet and learn.
4. What is your favorite hobby
I like driving R/C cars, flying R/C planes, and reading/tinkering with the new AI stuff out there. My bachelor's degree is in theatre, so I also like to go out and perform when I can.
Note: I had to look up what R/C meant - it means remote control. Interesting hobby.
